As London Councils is the organisation that represents London’s 32 borough councils and the City of London it was essential to maintain and enhance London Councils brand consistency and presence. On-going brand guardianship, appraising all below the line communications, guidelines, brand asset creation and brand specific communications all help to maintain the consistency, coherence and profile of the London Councils brand, whilst also keeping it fresh and relevant.
When we began working with London Councils in 2008, the aim was to enhance the organsiation’s profile, differentiate its offering and support their future development activities. Getting to know the organsiation inside out, we identified key strengths, notably the organsation’s distinctive pedigree in terms of its pan-London status, supported by the friendly engagement of their teams, with their readiness to go that extra mile to build relationships.
Like many local government organisations, London Councils face a number of challenges. Our challenge was how to keep building London Councils brand DNA, overcome some of the communication challenges and allow them to implement key initiatives succesfully, time and again.
